Course Outline

This online course provides an introduction to the engineering, design and the construction of the fire protection systems for different facilities. The course materials are based entirely on the Military Handbook MIL-HDBK-1008C, FIRE PROTECTION FOR FACILITIES ENGINEERING, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION. The purpose of this course is to provide an understanding to the fire protection system criteria and design for all types of buildings and their contents, whether considered temporary or permanent, mobile or stationary equipment, waterfront facilities, and outside storage facilities.

This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials.
