Dr. Lambert is a graduate of the University of Florida and of North Carolina State University and is a licensed Professional Engineer. He is also licensed as a General Contractor. Dr. Lambert began his engineering career in 1958. Since then he has gained significant experience in the analysis, design, investigation, and construction of structures and construction materials, concentrating on earth and concrete. He routinely provides counsel and training to persons needing help in selecting, designing and constructing residential and commercial structures that are energy efficient, of sustainable materials and low in maintenance requirements.. Dr. Lambert has authored numerous technical reports and studies and has served as a technical editor and reviewer for national and international publishers. He has served in technical societies and on committees at the local, regional, and national level and has chaired the SC Society of Professional Engineers. He currently owns a construction company and a materials distributing company, both dedicated to sound design and construction practices.

In addition to his professional experience in the engineering and construction fields, Dr. Lambert is a former professor in the Agricultural Engineering Department of Clemson University. He has also been a guest speaker at over 40 seminars and short courses, has done post-doctoral study and research in the Netherlands and in Israel. In 1988, Dr. Lambert received the Mobay Cotton Research Recognition Award for his work in computer simulation of cotton growth and yield.

Since his 1997 retirement from Clemson University Dr Lambert has built a second career in “Simply a Better Way to Build.” He began using Insulated Concrete Forms in 1999, and has progressed into use of all the “green” construction technologies that are economically feasible. As an engineer he designs, as a contractor he builds, and as a mentor he instructs others to select and build, residential and commercial structures that proudly serve his clients, our nature, and our world.
