Dr. William Brant lectures in the philosophy department at Texas State University-San Marcos. In 2004 Professor Brant earned a Fulbright grant and studied at the Johannes Gutenberg Universität in Mainz, Germany. He began teaching at Texas State University in January 2009 completing his dissertation on the theme of sarcasm, sarcastic reasoning, consciousness and their functions in the political realm. Brant graduated with a PhD. in philosophy in January 2011, from Sofia University. Presently, he is an adjunct professor of philosophy establishing online courses for the philosophy department and occupational education department at Texas State University. Additionally, he is an adjunct instructor for the University of Maryland University College Europe within the Distance Education Department teaching and developing online courses.
