Robert B. Coulter, PE This two-hour course explains a method for calculating Worst Case Scenarios (WCS) in order to comply with EPA's Chemical Accident Prevention Provisions, 40 CFR Part 68 or the general duty clause of the Clean Air Act 112(r)(1). The method comes from an EPA document entitled "Risk Management Program Guidance for Offsite Consequence Analysis" which is available for free from the EPA. Many facilities are required to calculate worst case scenarios for their facilities to comply with 40 CFR part 68. Other facilities may want to calculate worst case scenarios as part of a hazard assessment and reduction program. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials. ![]() NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public.
