John R. Andrew, P.E. This 5-PDH course describes the design and use of typical jigs and fixtures. In general terms, fixtures hold parts firmly while being machined or assembled, and jigs guide or position cutting tools. Varying amounts of human activity are required for the practical implementation of automated systems. The course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of the course materials. ![]() NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public.
