Besides meeting specific requirements, such as education, experience, and examination, a licensee must get familiar with the Board Rules in order to practice engineering in any state. While the Rules do vary from state to state, the basic requirements for the qualifications and the professional conduct are very similar throughout the United States. In this course, the student is required to study the Engineering Practice Act and the Rules contained in Civil Administrative Code of Illinois, which covers the rules of professional conduct, licensee qualifications, continuing education requirements and other regulatory provisions. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials. * Note: This course cannot be used to satisfy Florida’s 4-PDH requirement in Florida Board Laws & Rules. ![]() NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD.
