This two-hour course provides an in-depth review of the statutes governing the practice of engineering in the State of New Jersey as well the ethical standards related to the engineering profession. Students will study the relevant excerpts from Chapter 8 of Title 45 “Professions and Occupations” in the New Jersey Statutes Annotated. In addition, professional misconduct prohibited by the New Jersey Board are presented along with the requirement for reporting such incidents. This course is designed to help a NJ licensee meet the new 2-hour ethics training for the license renewal. * Note: This course cannot be used to satisfy Florida’s 4-PDH requirement in Florida Board Laws & Rules. ![]() NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website. AIA Members: You must take the courses listed under the category "AIA/CES Registered Courses" if you want us to report your Learning Units (LUs) to AIA/CES.
