John C. Huang, Ph.D., PE The Maryland Law requires that all licensed Professional Engineers earn at least 1 PDH in content areas related to the standards of practice or care, laws and regulations applicable to the practice of engineering in Maryland, or professional engineering ethics. This course is designed to help you meet that special requirement. It provides a review of the Maryland Board Rules for Professional Engineers contained in Title 9 of Code of Maryland Regulations (COMAR). This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials. * Note: This course cannot be used to satisfy Florida’s 4-PDH requirement in Florida Board Laws & Rules. ![]() NY PE & PLS: You must choose courses that are technical in nature or related to matters of laws and ethics contributing to the health and welfare of the public. NY Board does not accept courses related to office management, risk management, leadership, marketing, accounting, financial planning, real estate, and basic CAD. Specific course topics that are on the borderline and are not acceptable by the NY Board have been noted under the course description on our website.
