The International Building Code (IBC) has been adopted by all 50 states and the District of Columbia. This course highlights the structural provisions contained in the 2012 International Building Code (Chapter 16 - Structural Design) and the ASCE 7-10 (Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures), and is designed to help structural engineers get familiar with the latest building code requirements. Detailed answers are provided to some of the frequently asked questions, including the major changes from the IBC 2003 to the IBC 2012. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end, which is designed to enhance the understanding of course materials.
