This four-hour course provides the basic knowledge required to assess the potential risk factors associated with machinery. The course quantifies reliability, design, production, life cycle, environmental, and safety factors so they can be assessed. Additional business/management related factors are also covered. Weighting risk factors and the use of risk multipliers is introduced. Risk mitigation strategies are covered in a follow-on course. This course includes a multiple-choice quiz at the end.
